Rob Rodrigues is the President & CEO of MP Cloud Technologies, a leader in software solutions for ambulance revenue cycle management (RCM). With over 30 years of experience in healthcare, Rob began his career as a Registered Nurse and Paramedic, progressing to roles in EMS, hospital care, and as a Flight Nurse on medevac helicopters. His clinical expertise, combined with his tenure as a case manager for Blue Cross Blue Shield, provided him with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare financing and reimbursement processes. Rob’s leadership journey expanded when he ran an ambulance company, mastering the complexities of healthcare billing firsthand. He also served as a consultant, empowering EMS organizations to optimize their claims processes and secure proper remuneration for their life-saving services. This hands-on experience shaped Rob into a self-trained RCM expert, passionate about leveraging AI-driven automation to simplify billing operations for ambulance providers. At MP Cloud Technologies, Rob oversees all aspects of the company’s growth and operations, ensuring his team has the right tools and talent to succeed. He is committed to delivering solutions that enable EMS agencies to focus on their primary mission: saving lives. Under his leadership, the company strives for customer satisfaction, employee fulfillment, and continual innovation. Outside of work, Rob enjoys saltwater fishing and college football, finding balance between his professional achievements and personal passions. Roy Johnston is an accomplished financial executive and investment professional with more than three decades of experience spanning private equity, venture capital, real estate, and institutional asset management. He is the Co-Founder and Partner of X Machina Capital Strategies, where since 2021 he has led strategic investment initiatives and capital deployment across diverse sectors. Since 2013, Johnston has also served as Managing Partner at Austin Perry Partners, overseeing a broad investment portfolio that includes real estate, public markets, private equity, and venture capital. His leadership emphasizes disciplined analysis, long-term value creation, and active portfolio management. Johnston previously served as Chief Financial Officer of MP Cloud Technologies from 2020 to 2022, guiding financial strategy, capital planning, and operational performance for the company during a period of significant expansion within the healthcare technology space.

As VP of Operations for MP Cloud Technologies, Kim Kimzey brings a dynamic and versatile background to her role. Originally from Spartanburg, SC, Kim’s professional journey reflects her adaptability, curiosity, and commitment to service. She began her career as a journalist and digital producer, cultivating a strong foundation in communication and storytelling. This experience led her to serve as an advocate for crime victims, where she developed a deep sense of empathy and advocacy skills. Kim’s transition into the tech industry began with her role at MP Cloud Technologies, where she embraced the opportunity to work in a start-up environment. Drawn by the adventure and challenge of broadening her business acumen, Kim quickly ascended into leadership roles, including serving as a technical writer, executive assistant, and now, Vice President of Operations. In her current role, Kim oversees the daily operations of the revenue cycle management division, ensuring seamless processes and client satisfaction. She thrives on problem-solving and remains committed to guiding her team and clients with thoughtfulness and adaptability. Her ability to listen, consider diverse perspectives, and remain open to new solutions makes her an invaluable leader. Kim takes pride in her professional growth, consistently seeking roles that challenge her skill set. Her work philosophy is simple yet impactful: no task is too small, and openness to new ideas drives success. Daean Chase is VP of Technology at MP Cloud Technologies, where he architects the secure, scalable systems behind the company’s EMS revenue cycle and AI platforms. He specializes in building end-to-end infrastructure that brings together data engineering, AI/ML, and cloud architecture into modern, efficient tools spanning the full development lifecycle.

His recent work has centered on making AI practical for EMS billing. He built custom frameworks integrating AWS Bedrock and self-hosted models with Milvus and MongoDB to power advanced retrieval-augmented generation, dynamic agent orchestration, and contextual decision-making. He also delivered an enterprise AI search platform that combines adaptive search strategies, multi-embedding similarity, and pgvector with a human-in-the-loop feedback loop through Slack for continuous optimization. On the claims side, he has enhanced EMS workflows using NEMSIS autocode parsing, OCR, vision models, and prompt-driven ICD-10 coding, and engineered a flexible EDI system capable of parsing all major transaction sets, including 835, 837, 270, and 271.

Daean’s technical range is broad and deep: large language models and machine learning (embedding and corpus analytics, semantic similarity, vector and tokenization strategies, advanced search); databases including SQL Server, Postgres, MongoDB, and Milvus; Python frameworks and FastAPI alongside SQL, Kafka, and Apache NiFi; AWS cloud infrastructure (multi-VPC, ECS, RDS, MSK) with Terraform and Ansible; identity and security tooling such as Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, and HashiCorp Vault; and ETL pipelines that transform structured and unstructured data into OLAP models. He rounds this out with visualization (Tableau, Apache Superset), monitoring (Loki, Grafana, Prometheus), and testing (PyTest, Selenium) expertise.
